PDA-ESE D2L 2004-2005 Regional Evaluation Summary

The following chart provides overall participant feedback from 10 PDA-ESE D2L regional trainings conducted in Tampa, Palatka, Tallahassee, Ft. Lauderdale and Sanford by the FDLRS HRD Coordinating Unit.

The following provides a brief sample of the responses to Questions 6, 7 and 9 on the D2l evaluation summary.

Question #6 What were the strong features of this meeting?

The detailed walk through of the program and the hands-on time was very useful and helpful.

Practical applications of what works with participants and the way all the modules are set up in same order. I love the interactive links! All the presenters clearly communicated their parts!

Well organized and time was given for group sharing.

Small group and informal atmosphere; great presenters; great information for me. I feel so much more COMPETENT!!! With D2l as well as requirements of PDA-ESE.

Well organized and presented very well; great information and support.

Organization/materials - opportunity to hear from other centers.

Discussion of common problems; actual visuals of software.

Handouts; hand-on practice; team knowledge.

Question #7 What would make this type of meeting or follow-up activity more effective?

More time to practice on the computer.

More time to practice different components.

After facilitating one class, or maybe during one, another session to help through difficulties.

I can't think of a more effective way to present the information you presented today!

More frequent meetings to discuss challenges-successes.

Ability to facilitate as soon as possible.

More time to practice different components.


Question#9 What other topics/activities would you like to see presented/conducted by the HRD Coordinating Unit?

Topics/classes for general ed. Teachers who work with ESE students, but are not working towards ESE K-12 certification.

Need for correlation to Reading Endorsement.

What works/what doesn’t?

Ongoing computer techniques to make modules more user friendly.

Separate Coordinators/Facilitators for some separate information - especially when we launch Regional Lockstep of modules.

Chances to network!

Same type of follow-up is possible.

Continue local meetings!

Autism related; behavior related.
